Arti Batrania was proud as punch when her cute pug Gizmo was snapped up by an animal modelling agency.

Offers of work flooded in as casting directors fell in love with the mutt’s adorable face.

But concerned her pooch was too cuddly – and determined to make sure he was at the front of the queue for all the top jobs – Arti went to extreme lengths to keep him in shape.

Now, three-year-old Gizmo has regular hydrotherapy sessions to ensure he is fighting fit and offers of work flood in.

Pets have the treatment for a variety of reasons and it’s claimed it can help spinal problems and arthritis in dogs.

But it also helps build and tone muscle, meaning Gizmo is in better shape than ever.

Bank worker Arti, 33, said: “Gizmo’s dad was chunky and I noticed he was a bigger than normal when he was a puppy.

“Despite going on two walks a day he still looked a little rolly around the edges so when I heard about hydrotherapy for dogs I was all for it.

“Gizmo had been building up an impressive portfolio working with many top brands for the last two years.

“But he has a tendency to gain weight easily but he loves his food and I didn’t want to make him diet.”
